INDIAN OCEAN ADVENTURE!

In April and May 2006, we undertook an expedition to the Indian Ocean to explore the possibilities of offering a trip there in the future. Our report is posted here, and YES - we are planning a return trip in 2009! Details of the 2009 trip will be added soon.

"Why Mauritius?", the customs officer asked as he checked my customs statement upon re-entering the US, "You're probably the first person all year that I've seen whose gone there". Why Mauritius? "Why not!", was my response, and indeed - why not? Mauritius and other Indian Ocean islands have a great deal to offer as you will see. As an added bonus, no-one at work will be trying to upstage your island vacation stories with their own, because it is probable that they don't even have a clue about where Mauritius, Rodrigues and Reunion are located! Indeed - tell people that you're going to Reunion, and they'll ask if it is a family, high school or college one!
